Hadleigh’s Castle is a musical still in development and nspired by the famous painting by John Constable. Set in the 1930’s, it is a dramatic, romantic story set in England, France and Russia revolving around a tempestuous liaison between an aspiring Russian writer and an American painter. They meet in France during the last moments preceding World War II during the last, joyous flames of a creative flowering of the arts in Paris preceding World War II and the German occupation.

The sparks ignited in Paris grow to a bonfire in the early years of the War when the two meet in Hadleigh’s Castle, a magnificent relic of a bygone era of kings and knights. There, they consummate their love and begin to live and grow together during a period of imminent danger to Western civilization. Their union produces a child who grows up as the creative, political, and social tensions grow between them, eventually dividing them. But can true love be destroyed by the little thoughts and feelings that have caused the rift between them? They rush back to Hadleigh’s Castle, hoping to find the answer.
